On the night of 29 of November 30 scientists working on the Large Hadron Collider, each with proven energy beams of protons to the value hihaelektronvolt 1180. Notice appears on elementy.ru.
Two beams of elementary particles circulating in opposite directions, moving with the value of energy in the course of some time. If physics does not reveal problems in the collider, with high probability, in a fast run to the experiment carried out by collision with the beams reached energies. Earlier it was reported that by the end of 2009 beam reaches the value 1.7 teraelektronvolt.

The first collision of beams of protons recorded in the Large Hadron Collider - the largest particle accelerators, re-launched after a year of repair near Geneva. Told the European Center
Nuclear Research (CERN).
"This is a stunning achievement - progress so far in such a short period of time" - said CERN Director General Rolf Hoyer's, ITAR-TASS.

U.S. physicists have found the reason for the prevalence of triangular Snowflakes in nature. Article scientists have not yet accepted for publication, but its preprint available at arxiv.org.
In terms of crystallography is the most natural form of Snowflakes, which owns the "hexagonal" symmetry. At the same time, however, the widespread nature of triangular snowflakes (various forms of Snowflakes can see here).
The reasons for this until recently remained unclear.
